Anderson Quigley is delighted to once again be partnering with a Russell Group University in London, on the appointment of an Interim Assistant Director of Engineering and Estates Maintenance, for a 6-month FTC, to ideally start ASAP or during April. Given the nature of the role, this will involve 3-4 days on campus per week.
Overview:
The interim AD will occupy a key leadership position in the development, upkeep, and servicing of the University Estate. This will involve responsibility for defining, executing, and monitoring business-critical enabling strategies, including campus infrastructure master planning, university-wide technical leadership, long-term maintenance programs, energy reduction, decarbonization of the London campuses, fire safety management, and campus hard services and maintenance.
Experience Required:
Essential to the success of this interim role is prior experience in leading engineering services and campus maintenance (hard FM) teams within a large organisation. Also essential is experience in developing and implementing long-term maintenance programs and infrastructure development plans, managing and developing internal technical capabilities of the operations team, and controlling significant budgets. Knowledge of building infrastructure and systems related to fire safety and health and safety regulations is also absolutely essential. We are open to sector background – whilst the above experience gained within Higher Education would be fantastic, we would equally consider the wider Public Sector or organisations with similarly sized estates and complexity.
Next Steps:
Please get in touch with Akhil Yerneni on +44 (0)7808 649 556 or akhil@andersonquigley.com to receive a full JD and to discuss further. Shortlisting will be by the 20th of March and would be grateful to hear from anyone interested, ASAP.
