Anderson Quigley is pleased to be taking another new opportunity to market. We are working with a University in the Midlands, on the appointment of an Interim Head of Apprenticeships, for an initial 6 month FTC (could extend to 9 months). This will involve hybrid working of c.1-2 days per week on campus, though greater flexibility could be considered for suitable out of area candidates. Ideally, the interim will be able start within 1 month, but we could wait a maximum of 2 months’ notice for the right candidate.
Overview:
As the Interim Head of Apprenticeships, you will lead and develop the university’s degree apprenticeship support and compliance activities across all colleges, ensuring they meet industry, employer, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities will include leading the university’s apprenticeship team, driving development and improvement of their apprenticeship provision, advising on new programmes, managing compliance with funding rules and legislation, and engaging with external stakeholders.
Experienced Required:
Essential to the success of this role is significant knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules and work-based learning, and senior stakeholder engagement, influencing and change management skills. Also essential is the ability to inspect the university’s apprenticeships provision with a diagnostic lens, and be a critical friend to the senior and executive team on driving improvement and championing the apprenticeships agenda university wide.
