Anderson Quigley is currently working with a London based University to identify a Senior Project Manager to lead a complex relocation of one of their schools.
This is a £20 million plus capital works project that requires an immediate start. It is a 12-month fixed term contract with a potential to extend to 24 months.
Reporting to the Head of Projects Delivery, the successful candidate will have responsibility for delivering a range of redevelopment and refurbishment projects across the university’s diverse estate portfolio including academic and research facilities, social space, commercial hospitality space, sport facilities and student accommodation.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will lead and manage projects from inception to completion, taking responsibility for brief development, design, procurement, construction and handover into occupation; manage and coordinate the relationship between University Departments/Schools and externally appointed project delivery partners. You will also lead and manage the delivery of a diverse range of estate development projects ensuring successful delivery to quality, financial and programme criteria in addition to managing a project delivery team.
As the successful candidate you will have a background and track record of managing construction projects and programmes (including new build, refurbishments and improvements) within a large, complex, occupied estate involving a wide range of building types and stakeholders. Practical experience of the development and construction process, including brief development, design, procurement, construction logistics, health & safety, BIM and soft landings is essential.
