Anderson Quigley is pleased to be once again be working with a Private Provider of Higher Education on a second and key leadership appointment of their Dean of Academic Quality and Enhancement. This will also require c.2 days per week of on-site presence in London.

Overview:

With a 93% satisfaction rating in the 2022 NSS and a student centric offering that promotes continual learning, personal development, innovation and online delivery, this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Academic Quality and Enhancement leader to play a crucial role in ensuring the HEI’s processes, policies, and procedures are compliant with external quality assurance requirements and other regulatory frameworks across their entire taught provision.

Reporting directly to the Principal and Provost, the Dean of Academic Quality and Enhancement’s key responsibilities include oversight of the development and implementation of the HEI’s quality strategy and leadership of the academic quality assurance and enhancement service. The Dean will manage a dedicated team, stay contemporary on QA debates and policy, lead on all QA processes related to curriculum development, program evaluations, and respond to student feedback to continually improve the HEI’s programmes.

Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in senior level Quality Assurance and Enhancement within Higher Education, perhaps as a Head / Director / Associate Dean for Quality, Learning and Enhancement, gained within a commercially minded post-92 university or a similar Alternative or Private Provider environment. In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as OfS Conditions of Registration, QAA’s UK Quality Code for Higher Education, and CMA guidance will be absolutely essential. Also essential is proven experience in making high-level decisions, leading committees, and managing internal and external professional relationships at an institutional lead level.
