Anderson Quigley is delighted to be working with a London University on the appointment of an Interim Chief Student Officer (CSO), for an initial 4 month FTC, to start in February 2023 at the latest, with 2 days per week on average on-site in London.

Overview:

The interim CSO will be required to provide executive level, strategic and operational leadership to student-facing university services. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor & President, the CSO will be a member of the University Executive Board and lead academic registry, student life, student health & well-being, library, archives & learning services, and sport & the active campus.

Experience required:

The successful candidate will bring student-facing teams together to create a cohesive, cross-functional group to transform services and provide a seamlessly outstanding applicant-student-graduate experience. With significant budgetary responsibility and line management of several sizeable teams, the CSO will be a significant contributor to the University’s overall financial, reputational and strategic success.

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering complex operational management across multifaceted professional services functions, with a commitment to delivering an excellent student experience. They will have an inclusive, determined and inspirational approach to leadership, encouraging ideas, initiative, and innovation in others. Experience of working at or frequently with Executive or Board level, within a UK Higher Education Institution will be essential to this role, as well as immediate or near enough immediate availability.
