Investing in our education offering with three new hires

We are committed to addressing the unique recruitment challenges that the education sector faces, and are delighted to announce a significant investment in our education offering with three new hires.

Roles within the education sector are evolving, whilst also becoming more commercialised. We see immense potential in recruiting from further afield, even from outside the sector, and securing the best candidate for every role and to help the education sector thrive. The addition of three highly experienced professionals bolsters our network, skills and capabilities to connect diverse talent pools from universities, through to further education, multi-academy trusts, and independent schools.

Melanie Pye joins as a Senior Consultant, bringing a wealth of experience working across independent schools and multi-academy trusts, and will support with the recruitment of non-academic leadership roles. Matthew Adshead, who has a rich background in both state and independent schools, joins as an Associate Partner, is a former headteacher, school owner, former Chair of the Independent Schools Association, and trustee of the Independent Schools Council. He will advise on headteacher academic practices, and empower schools to maximise the potential of their academic leaders. Hayley Mintern, Partner in our schools practice said:

“The schools sector is in need of quality search firms that can provide a bespoke service. Our team enables schools and higher education institutions to access diverse talent pools across the sector. Our vision is to make a social impact, and education is our biggest tool to do that. Melanie and Matthew will provide additional skills to the team, allowing us to further support our clients – I’m delighted to have them on board!”

Paul Aristides also joins as a Partner, and will be leading and developing our further education and skills offering. He has extensive experience in supporting further education colleges, training providers, national skills organisations and education charities. He will focus on finding and developing leadership talent for both Executive and governance roles. The creation of a further education and skills practice will broaden the support we already provide to the education sector. Paul commented:

“Colleges are critical in providing high-quality academic, technical and vocational education to young people and adult learners.  They are key to educating the future workforce and enabling millions of people to reach their potential. Our purpose is to provide high quality and experienced executive search support to those organisations looking to develop their leadership teams and boards to achieve success. I’m thrilled to join a passionate team that continues to grow, develop, and further support the education sector.”
