Anderson Quigley are delighted to be working with a leading charity who are looking to appoint an interim Chief Financial Officer.

– Providing strategic leadership as part of the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Executive Director.
– Managing an established team of 35 including overseeing the Head of Finance and Head of Facilities (including Health & Safety).
– Overseeing the complete budgeting and forecasting cycle across diverse departments, from income-generating teams to grant-giving programmes.
– Attending and leading various high-level committees, including Audit, Investment, Planning and Resources, and Health and Safety.
– Legal and GDPR functions, collaborating closely with the Head of Legal to ensure organisational compliance.
– Strategic management of the investment portfolio, engaging with external experts for specialised advice.
It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have significant experience in senior financial leadership within a charity, or complex non-profit environment.

– Ability to bring fresh new ideas to an established structure following the departure of a long-serving CFO.
– Strong investment knowledge to oversee substantial assets and work effectively with external advisors.
– The ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across finance, facilities, and legal services.

The contract length is 8 months (May to end of December) with hybrid working 2-3 days onsite. While a full-time commitment is ideal, a 4-day week may be considered for the right candidate.
