About the Role

Our charity client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Programme Manager to help with the operational planning and delivery of their technology programme, including procurement and implementation of their new CRM.

Reporting to the Digital Transformation Programme Director, you’ll oversee programme delivery, direct project managers and workstream leads, and ensure governance, resources, and stakeholder engagement are aligned to strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 

Programme Delivery

  • Lead and maintain a credible, coherent integrated programme plan.
  • Initiate and guide projects aligned to benefit delivery.
  • Monitor progress, troubleshoot delivery issues, and drive outcomes.
  • Maintain and evolve programme governance and reporting to the Programme Board.

Resource and Financial Oversight

  • Ensure programme resources are sourced and allocated effectively.
  • Manage programme budget, monitor spend, and forecast against targets.

Governance and Risk Management

  • Develop and maintain programme definition and initiation documents.
  • Implement programme controls and ensure they are understood across teams.
  • Identify and manage programme-level risks, issues, and interdependencies.

About You

Experience

  • Proven track record managing large, complex programmes and multi-million-pound budgets.
  • Skilled in developing business cases and navigating approval processes.
  • Experienced in matrix management and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Strong background in delivering programmes involving significant business change

Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in project/programme management (e.g. APM PMQ, PPQ, ChPP).
  • Strong budgeting and resource allocation knowledge.
  • Practical understanding of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Broad technical knowledge of digital architectures and products.
