Technology Programme Manager
UCAS – Technology Programme Manager
Location: Cheltenham/Hybrid (1-2 days in the office)
Salary: £65k + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Infrastructure focused Project Manager with the ability to manage and deliver large-scale, technically complex programmes? UCAS is seeking a Programme Manager to lead multiple technical workstreams that drive forward their digital first business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and complete multiple large and complex technical streams of work to achieve a common goal and business objectives
- Facilitate the writing of business cases, including helping to define objectives and scope to secure the required operational and financial resources to prevent conflicts or delays
- Coordinate and supervise the duties of one or more project managers to ensure quality of service
- Coach and develop team members where appropriate
- Work with project managers, senior and executive management, and cross-functional teams to plan schedules, budgets, goals.
- Coordinate multiple teams across different professional disciplines to create programme timelines and milestones

What We’re Looking For:
- With a strong background in Infrastructure and Cloud project management, you will be managing complex technical programmes, experience in networks or cloud infrastructure is essential.
- Some understanding or experience of software development, engineering or data science, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
- A proven ability to apply and adapt various project management methodologies – formal qualification such as PRINCE2 is desirable.
- Extensive experience of working within Agile/Scrum environments, alongside familiarity with more traditional delivery models.
- Strong supplier and budget management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders up to Director level.
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the drive to overcome challenges and achieve results.
