We are seeking an exceptional Interim Chief People Officer (CPO) to join an NHS organisation and provide strategic leadership during a period of transformation. This is a unique opportunity for a senior HR professional to drive a people-centred agenda and lead on key initiatives that will enhance organisational culture, board capability, and operational excellence.
Key Deliverables:
- Culture Transformation: Lead and continue to embed a cultural transformation programme that aligns with the organisation’s values and strategic objectives.
- Board Development: Support to delivery of a board development programme to strengthen leadership capability and governance.
- People Plan Refresh: Review, refine, and execute an updated People Plan to ensure it meets evolving workforce challenges and priorities.
- Operational Excellence Programme: Oversee the people aspect of a key operational excellence initiative, ensuring workforce engagement and alignment with organisational goals.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive senior CPO leadership experience within the NHS – ideally from a large complex organisation.
- A proven track record of leading cultural change and workforce transformation programmes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at board level.
- Expertise in workforce strategy, organisational development, and leadership capability building.
- A dynamic, hands-on approach with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive meaningful change.
