Anderson Quigley is looking for a project manager to deliver the implementation of a new finance system for our charity client. The product is Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and to provide project management oversight for the SharePoint implementation. This role will report into the Director of Digital, Data and Technology and will work in close conjunction with other project team members, including a Business Analyst. This will be a 6 month day rate contract to start in January.

Requirements:

  • Previous demonstrable experience of working on similar large system implementations as a Project Manager (finance system experience preferred).
  • Experience of full project lifecycle management of system implementation and testing, business readiness and post-go live planning.
  • Overseeing the overall project and stakeholder management plan (considering system design and implementation alongside target operating model and change management requirements).
  • Establishing the project cadence, ensuring appropriate governance, reporting and approval processes are in place to allow for timely decision-making, foster transparency and allow flexibility to adapt to the changing circumstances during project delivery.
  • Ensuring project delivery to time, budget, and quality targets and maintaining high quality project documentation to monitor and report on progress.
  • Identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies and removing roadblocks and escalating when required.
  • Engaging stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring on-going project alignment with business strategy and governance processes.
  • Establishing and running project, design and steering group meetings, workshops etc.
  • Provide project leadership for work streams and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive project execution and manage the issue and change control process, conflicts and escalations.
  • Managing system implementation partner and 3rd party supplier relationships and contracts – providing challenge when required, along with investigating, resolving and escalating problems.
  • Work with the system implementation partner in managing the programme’s document and knowledge library, ensuring that all assets are available and up to date.
  • Experience of planning and delivering testing and training to support project delivery.
  • Planning throughout the project for change management and business readiness activities to ensure these are well understood and planned for early to optimise adoption and benefits realisation.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with:

  • Proven project management delivery of technical systems implementation projects (finance systems and M365 Desirable) with tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of change management and excellent stakeholder and expectation management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to see both the big picture and also know when to dive into the detail.
  • Experienced in working with and managing systems implementation partners backed with enough technical knowledge to know how and when to challenge and question proposed solutions to ensure the system implementation meets business needs and benefit delivery.
  • An open and flexible approach with the ability to creatively solve problems and issues considering the charity context and budget constraints.
