Trustee (Chair of Housing Committee)

Voluntary / Expenses Paid

At United Response, we work with people to achieve their goals, have independence and live a happy life. As a charity, we support people with learning disabilities, autistic people and those with mental health needs, at home and in the community.

With a clear vision to build a society where everyone has equal access to the same rights and opportunities, United Response supports around 2,000 people, works in 420 locations across England and Wales and employs about 3,500 staff.

We are now seeking to appoint a new Trustee to join our board and to serve as Chair of our Housing Committee. Recognising the importance of living in a place we call home with the people and things we love, is at the heart of our housing strategy. Forging new funding partnerships and developing co-housing approaches in collaboration with communities, is central to our plans to grow our role as a supported housing landlord and ensure our continued sustainability as an organisation.

As a Trustee, you be contributing to the whole of United Response’s organisational agenda with a real opportunity to help drive organisational change and to make an impression in an organisation where your skills are needed most. As Chair of the Housing Committee, we are very interested to hear from individuals with housing experience, particularly with a focus on asset management and development.

We seek a strategic thinker who is ambitious for our growth and impact. As an adept communicator, you will provide strategic oversight, share insights, and ensure effective governance. Your values will align with our mission, guiding your contributions.

For a confidential conversation regarding your candidacy, please contact our advising consultant at Anderson Quigley: Aino Betts on +44(0) 7743 934 723 or Helene Usherwood on +44 (0)7716 312 669. For more information on the role, please visit our microsite.

United Response are committed to ensuring their Board reflects the diversity of the communities they serve and welcome applicants who represent the vastly diverse group of people they support and employ.
