Salary: £43,108 + £3,500 location allowance (LA) per year (rising to £45,374 + LA after probation)

Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Digital Product Owner to lead and manage one (or more) of Girlguiding’s digital products, including its quality, vision, and priorities, ensuring they meet customer needs and reflects stakeholder strategic objectives.

Main area of responsibility

  • Lead and manage one (or more) of Girlguiding’s digital products, delivering enhancements and continual improvements and ensuring they are compliant, accessible, on brand and follow best practice.
  • Ensure you’re the products are aligned and deliver against our digital principles, digital strategy and meet Girlguiding’s strategic objectives.
  • In partnership with business owners, set product visions, formulate, and prioritise needs, refine and maintain backlogs, manage stakeholder communications and expectations.
  • Be the business area and product subject matter expert, and the voice of the internal and external users, for the products.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Girlguiding to ensure a holistic approach to the digital estate with integrated user-journey across all digital products.
  • Maximise the benefits of digital tools to meet users’ needs, keeping up to date with industry advances.

Your experience must include

  • Ability to build constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to resolve complex situations and deal sensitively with differences of opinion.
  • Ability to make decisions based on evidence within competing priorities and stakeholder requirements
  • Strong project management skills – suitable for managing large and complex projects – familiar with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Development and delivery of large-scale and complex website redevelopments and digital products
  • Reviewing and developing digital products that work for multiple audiences.
  • Assessing evidence of customer needs for the production and prioritisation of product developments and continual improvement.

Girlguiding operates a hybrid working arrangement where office based staff are required to attend the office on average two days a week, or 40% of working time across the year. Location allowance is payable to those who work in accordance with out hybrid working model. All staff are required to carry out our online health and safety training and complete a DSE risk assessment to ensure we can provide the support you require.
