Non-Executive Director (Chair of Audit)
Northamptonshire
£13,000 / 3 days per month minimum

At Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT), we strive to continually innovate and make a positive difference to our community and those working for and with our Trust, with a collective vision to provide outstanding, compassionate care to the people of Northamptonshire and surrounding areas. Rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, NHFT is one of the few Foundation Trusts in the country which offers an integrated provision across all ages including mental health, learning disability, community health and prison health services.

We now seek a Non-Executive Director, who will also act as Chair of our Audit Committee. Appreciative of the complexities of working in a multi-site operation, we want an individual who can think beyond organisational boundaries and bring high levels of personal and business integrity to ensure exemplary standards of quality, probity, and governance.

A financially qualified individual, you will have board experience, either from your time as an Executive or Non-Executive Director. Whilst able to navigate our Audit Committee and bring your financial expertise to bear, your contribution to the broader strategic agenda will be essential. Ideally, you will have experience of managing a broad portfolio and will understand what it means to operate within a complex environment as well as a track record of experience working in close partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

NHFT celebrates multiple points of view, and we believe diversity drives innovation. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a track record in driving Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion related issues, together with the ability to demonstrate how you have challenged discrimination and inequality. You must evidence your ability to influence and persuade others, be committed to working as a team member and possess the motivation to improve NHS performance.

You must also complete the Fit & Proper Persons Declaration for this role, which can be accessed here

CLOSING DATE FOR ALL APPLICATIONS: Thursday 26 September 2024

Final panel interviews are due to be held on 18 November (remotely) and 19 November (remotely).
