Non-Executive Director (Clinical)
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust
3 days per month / Remunerated
Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest general hospital foundation trusts in the country and is the main provider of acute and specialist care services for west Berkshire. We operate across six sites, employ approximately 5,500 staff, and serve a population of around one million people. We were very proud to be rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2021.
Eager to deliver care that is “outstanding every day, everywhere”, we are working to tackle the complexities within the health and social care system, without losing sight of the individual needs of the patient. Seeking a non-executive director (NED) to join our Board, we have a strong commitment to delivering outstanding care and increase the part we play in the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (BOB ICB) focussing on health inequality, integration, accessibility, and cohesion.
This role is open to those from medical, nursing, or allied disciplines and you will ideally have some experience of maternity or gynaecological services. Comfortable operating at board level, you will understand the parameters of the role of NED; able to support, question, and bring professional insights to deliver on our ambitious Improving Together strategy. Committed to fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement that is agile, innovative, and transformative; you will live and advocate our CARE values.
