Anderson Quigley is happy to be working with a NHS trust in the Midlands for an interim Head of Procurement role.
The client is looking for a candidate who has strong procurement experience in the NHS and can therefore immediately adapt to the role.
Key to this role will be your ability to provide technical guidance, operational guidance and advice on strategic sourcing, tendering and contracting to all relevant internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all legal requirements and obligations are met.
The successful candidate will deliver a Trust Wide 3-5 year procurement strategy and the development of contract uptake, through proactive leadership of the procurement team and influencing all categories within the Trust’s £80m non-pay spend.
You will liaise with expert bodies within the trust to ensure that purchases are appropriate such as Manual Handling, infection prevention, tissue viability and IT, in order to meet the needs of the customer. Your role will also be to support the Deputy Director of Finance and Procurement.
The contract length is 4-6 months with hybrid working on offer.
