Queen Victoria NHS Foundation Trust (QVH) is a specialist NHS hospital providing life-changing reconstructive surgery, burns care and rehabilitation services for people across the South of England. In addition, QVH provides a minor injuries unit, expert therapies, a sleep service, and a growing portfolio of community-based services. Patients consistently rate QVH amongst the top hospitals in the country for quality of care.  

With a new Chief Executive, QVH is entering an exciting new chapter in its history. As such, the Trust are seeking a Chief People Officer (CPO), to lead the workforce and organisational development functions, ensuring that they serve the needs of clinical and non-clinical departments across the Trust and work in collaboration with staff and staff representatives.  Maintaining a fully engaged and supported, well-motivated, highly skilled, and high-performing workforce,  the CPO will transform the workforce to ensure it is fit for the future, while fostering the best aspects of QVH’s organisational culture, specifically compassion, inclusivity, and fairness.   

Ambitious, highly visible, engaging, you will easily demonstrate your track record of success in delivering a programme of organisational development initiatives, designed to shape an organisation’s culture. You will have the relevant NHS knowledge as well as the leadership skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders that will affect transformational change. Your ability to inspire others and set out a clear strategic direction will be underpinned by your belief in a set of values which demonstrate commitment to the organisation and its future.
