Anderson Quigley is currently working with the V&A to recruit their new Head of Data. This is an exciting time to join the V&A Technology Department. Technology is integral to the operation of the V&A and plays a fundamental role in enabling the Museum to achieve its strategic objectives. As the V&A prepares to expand with two new museum openings and a reimagined Young V&A offering, it is looking to technology to enhance its visitor facing capabilities as well as evolve its working practices.
The V&A is changing the way it thinks about data and is embarking on a transformational journey to get more value out of its data in terms of optimising its members’ and customers’ experiences, improving operational efficiency, and driving trusted, informed decisions. This ambition must be supported by a new data strategy that aligns with the Enterprise Architecture evolution that is currently underway.
The Head of Data is a new role that will lead on the technology delivery of this strategy ensuring that the organisation is fully equipped to harness the value of data both now and in the future. To achieve this, you will oversee the delivery of new data platforms, skills and processes whilst balancing this with an eye to cost implications and existing practical challenges including the need to centralise knowledge and support profiles for the existing reporting systems within the team.
You will lead, define, and deliver on the data strategy, working in collaboration with others, to develop a target model and staged implementation plan that, in time, will embed an enhanced data maturity and insight driven approach within the organization.
You will have in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft EcoSystem, specifically MS Dynamics, Dataverse and Datalake architecture and experience of implementing a modern data architecture and data management frameworks that deliver impact. Knowledge and experience of associated technologies such as Azure are essential.
If you have demonstrable experience in data and insight leadership, are highly skilled in database and data reporting technologies (SSRS, Power BI, R etc), able to manage technical resources and be hands on with technical delivery then please apply.
