Appointment of the Director of Educational Enterprise

City, University of London

Welcome

I am pleased to invite you to consider the new role of Director of Educational Enterprise.

City’s new strategy focuses on us being the University of business, practice and the professions and this has given us the opportunity to re-design Professional and Continuing Education, as well as other forms of educational enterprise. Working with me the newly created role of Director of Educational Enterprise will be high-profile across the University and lead a reorientation of our provision from an independent and autonomous unit to a core, strategically aligned professional service.  Our ambition is to reinvent and sustainably grow our work in continuing education, CPD and summer schools.

In developing and implementing a scalable educational enterprise strategy the role requires a collaborative leader who can work across the institution in engaging the academic and professional services community. You will bring deep experience of working at a senior level in a relevant area of training, CPD or short course provision, but beyond this technical skillset will be a style of operating that can drive a cultural and performance shift in our provision.

This is an exciting time to join the University, with the summer merger with St George’s Medical School, City is a university confident in its strategic direction and this role is central to our mission to drive business, practice and the professions. We hope you share the ambitions that we have and are captured by the opportunity in delivering a new unit for enterprise education at City, University of London.

Dr Sionade Robinson
Vice-President (Enterprise, Engagement & Employability)
