Appointment of the Dean

SP Jain London School of Management

Welcome

Dear Colleague,

SP Jain has always been built by people who believe a business school should be close to industry, global in outlook and focused on student outcomes. Our multi-city model and culture of innovation have allowed us to grow a distinctive institution that connects ideas with practice and gives students the confidence to lead on a global stage.

London is a special part of this story. Establishing SP Jain London School of Management in Canary Wharf has created a platform for talent, research and industry engagement in one of the world’s most connected business districts. It is a place where employers, entrepreneurs and policymakers meet, and our students and faculty feel the energy of that proximity every day.

I would like to acknowledge the service of Dr Kim Soin, our founding Dean, who guided the School through its early milestones and helped establish strong academic and organisational foundations. I am grateful for her leadership and for the community she has built.

We are now entering a new phase; SP Jain London has been granted New Degree Awarding Powers by the Office for Students, and with that comes both responsibility and opportunity. Our new Dean will serve as our most senior academic leader and the effective head of the London School, reporting directly to me. This role carries the responsibility to shape strategy, champion academic excellence and grow a distinctively modern business school for London and for the world.

Our agenda is ambitious, and we are looking for someone equally so. Our new Dean, we anticipate, will drive programme innovation, strengthen impactful research, and ensure students benefit from rigorous teaching that reflects technology, data and the realities of contemporary management. The thoughtful use of AI in learning, the development of programmes in areas such as data science, financial technology and cyber security, and the building of strong partnerships with industry will all be central to our future ambitions.

What makes this opportunity distinctive is the combination of place and reach. London offers unrivalled access to employers and ideas. Our global network across Dubai, Singapore and Sydney offers genuine mobility for students and faculty, as well as collaboration on a scale that few schools can match.

We value leaders who are strategic and decisive, who communicate clearly, who are comfortable building external partnerships and who take pride in the student experience. With the right Dean, SP Jain London will deepen its contribution to London’s business community, advance research that matters and help more students thrive in international careers.

Thank you for your interest and I very much look forward to hearing from you via our executive search partner.

Yours sincerely,

Nitish Jain
President, The SP Jain Group

About the SP Jain London School of Management

Our History

SP Jain London is part of the SP Jain Group, a business education group known for its pioneering work in global business education.

The Group is named after the late Shriyans Prasad Jain, a visionary industrialist, philanthropist, and parliamentarian who played a key role in the Indian independence movement. A staunch advocate for education, Shriyans established several schools and educational institutions across India. In 2004, his grandson, Nitish Jain, established SP Jain School of Global Management (SP Jain Global), a business school in Dubai, to honour his grandfather’s legacy. SP Jain Global has since expanded to Singapore, Sydney and Mumbai, gaining a reputation for producing highly-skilled leaders with an international outlook through its multi-city programmes.

Now, the Group is bringing its unique brand of global education to London through SP Jain London. Proud of its legacy, SP Jain London upholds the values of excellence, innovation and social responsibility embodied by the late Shriyans Prasad Jain.

SP Jain London is registered with the Office for Students (OfS), the independent regulator of higher education in England. With a UK degree from SP Jain London, students will have an internationally recognised qualification that will give them a competitive edge in the job market.

Our approach

Innovative Business Education for a Digital Future

Our innovative programmes are meticulously designed to equip students with the digital capabilities and competencies increasingly demanded by both UK-based and international organisations operating within today’s rapidly evolving business landscape. At SP Jain London, we provide students in London with an alternative model of global business education, one that diverges from conventional providers by offering a curriculum closely aligned with the skillsets most sought after by contemporary employers.

Programmes Aligned with High-Growth Sectors

We currently offer both undergraduate and postgraduate business degrees, with a particular focus on high-growth sectors such as big data, artificial intelligence, financial technology (fintech), and cyber security. These areas have become ever more critical in the post-pandemic era, as businesses continue to transition to digital-first operations. Consequently, the competencies embedded within our programmes are reflective of the practical realities and strategic demands of the modern global economy.

Current and Upcoming Degree Programmes

In our inaugural year, we successfully enrolled students onto our Executive MBA, Global Master of Business, and Master of Global Business at postgraduate level, alongside the Bachelor of Business Administration at undergraduate level. Building upon this foundation, we are preparing to introduce a further suite of forward-thinking programmes, including a Master of Financial Technology, a Bachelor of Data Science (BDS), and a Bachelor in Management and Technology. These offerings are intentionally developed to prepare graduates for emerging roles at the intersection of business and technological innovation.

Specialised Family Business Programme

In addition, we have designed a Master’s in Family Managed Business, which we intend to launch initially as a top-up qualification to a certificate programme, in collaboration with our sister campus in Mumbai. This specialised programme is tailored to equip students with the strategic insight and operational capabilities required to manage and scale family-owned enterprises within the context of global commerce.

Bridging the UK’s Digital Skills Gap

The integration of advanced technologies with applied business education remains a distinctive proposition within the UK higher education sector. According to the Prospects report on UK skills shortages, industries such as computer programming, consultancy, and related fields are currently facing substantial challenges in sourcing graduates who possess both technical proficiency and commercial insight. Our programmes are explicitly designed to address these gaps by producing graduates who not only comprehend emerging technologies but are also adept at applying them strategically within organisational settings.

Empowering Graduates for Future-Ready Careers

This approach is particularly relevant for London-based enterprises engaged in frontier innovation, including organisations such as BenevolentAI, Babylon Health, and OneTrust. We are confident that our graduates will be well-positioned to make meaningful contributions within such environments and will possess a competitive advantage in the labour market owing to their interdisciplinary training and international outlook.

Industry-Led Curriculum Design

Our programmes are developed with direct input from both established industry leaders and emerging voices from dynamic and evolving sectors. Through this consultative approach, we ensure our curriculum remains forward-looking, industry-relevant, and attuned to the complex demands of 21st-century business. Graduates of SP Jain London will have undertaken flexible and future-oriented programmes that bridge the divide between academic theory and practical application, as well as between business and technology.

Global Study Opportunities

In keeping with our commitment to global education and cultivating an international mindset, all full-time students will be offered the opportunity to participate in study abroad experiences at our campuses in Dubai, Singapore, and Sydney. These exchanges provide access to equivalent curricula, teaching methodologies, and academic resources across all campus locations, ensuring continuity of academic quality while offering students invaluable cross-cultural perspectives and global exposure.

Financial Support for International Experiences

For postgraduate students, participation in the study abroad programme is included within the standard tuition fee. For eligible undergraduate students who are UK residents, we will offer travel bursaries to support participation in a semester abroad. These bursaries are designed to assist with travel and living costs, thereby widening access to international learning experiences irrespective of students’ financial circumstances.

SP Jain Global

A Global Education Model Across Key International Hubs

Since 2004, SP Jain Global has operated campuses in Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, and Sydney, delivering a unique multi-city model that requires students to study in three of these locations. This immersive structure attracts a diverse cohort and offers a globally integrated learning experience.

Our flagship Global MBA is consistently ranked among the world’s top 100 by Forbes, The Economist, and The Wall Street Journal, while the Master of Global Business is regularly placed in the top 40 by the Financial Times.

This model fosters adaptability and cultural fluency, preparing students for the realities of global business. As companies increasingly demand knowledge of regional regulations, consumer behaviour, and local business practices, students benefit from exposure to varied economic and cultural contexts. SP Jain London students will also have access to these international campuses, enhancing their understanding and employability. Our graduate outcomes data supports the model’s positive impact on career success.

Integrating Global Learning with Real-World Application

Over time, we’ve refined our programmes to integrate academic theory with practical business frameworks, experiential learning, and corporate-facing projects. Establishing a presence in London, home to major multinationals and global financial institutions, allows us to extend our educational philosophy to one of the world’s leading business hubs.

Our multi-city delivery is a cornerstone of the SP Jain Global experience, combining face-to-face and online learning across campuses. Accredited by TEQSA under the AQF, our courses are delivered by a unified academic team that rotates between cities, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality learning experience. Far from being satellite centres, each campus functions under a single academic and corporate governance structure.

Enhancing Student Mobility and International Experience

Students rotate between campuses throughout their studies, supported by advanced synchronous teaching technology that ensures consistency across all locations. This approach enhances flexibility, student mobility, and cultural exposure. Our graduates enjoy strong employment outcomes globally, especially in the UK, underscoring the model’s effectiveness.

SP Jain London students benefit from formal articulation agreements, allowing seamless study across any of our global campuses. Our first BBA cohort has already begun taking advantage of this opportunity. This synchronised, integrated model offers a superior alternative to traditional exchange programmes.

Expanding Global Access Through the London Campus

Our London campus is fully integrated into the multi-city model. Postgraduate students may begin in Singapore or Dubai and complete terms in London, while undergraduates can study up to two semesters at campuses in Singapore, Dubai, or Sydney. Generous travel bursaries are available in the early years to support these international experiences.

Subject to visa regulations, students at each location can pursue internships that reinforce practical and globally relevant skills.

UK-based students will form part of a larger global academic journey. For example, undergraduates may study one year in Singapore, one in Dubai, and their final two years in London. Postgraduates often begin in Singapore before transitioning to the UK. Through this expanded presence, SP Jain Global continues to offer transformative, internationally recognised education to future global business leaders.
