Anderson Quigley is delighted to be working with Starlight, on the permanent appointment of a Head of Services Delivery.
Starlight is a national children’s charity that is dedicated to using the power of play to make the experience of illness and treatment better for children and for their families. They work with more than 800 hospitals and hospices across the UK, by methods as diverse as the provision of Gaming Bundles, Hospital Pantomime and Storytelling Tours and their signature Boost and Distraction Boxes of toys and activities. Through the Starlight Hospital Ambassador programme, they actively engage with health professionals, especially play specialists, to ensure they are providing impactful services. Starlight also support children and their families outside the hospital setting through the provision of Escapes, special experiences and UK based group trips, enabling families to spend valuable time together and develop social connections.
As part of their strategy, Starlight is looking to expand their reach to bring their services to more children and innovate to develop new state of the art, more impactful and sustainable services despite the challenging economic climate caused by the pandemic. The Head of Services Delivery will provide both strategic and operational programme management to their existing services as well as leading on the development and implementation of new and proactive service delivery models, fostering a collaborative change management and continual improvement approach with all stakeholders and service users. Reporting to the Director of Children’s Services and working alongside the Head of Insight and Impact, you will be a confident, resilient and inspiring team player, taking the lead in all aspects of service delivery, ensuring their charitable purpose of supporting both children & their families alongside the health professionals who care for them is maintained to the highest standards.
