Non-Executive Directors and Associate Non-Executive Directors – Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS Mental Health Trust

Posted on 12 October 2021

Based in London / 3-4 days per month

The appointment of two non-executive directors and two associate neds could not come at a more important and exciting time for Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS Trust (BEH). Each will play a pivotal role in driving our strategy, culture and values, acting as the Trust’s ambassadors in engaging with staff, local communities and a wide range of stakeholders in a ‘whole population’ approach.

Our strategic alliance with Camden & Islington NHS Foundation continues to flourish, demonstrating our commitment to working together to improve services and strengthen the voice of mental health across North Central London (NCL).  This against a background of significant change in the wider NHS with the development of an Integrated Care System (ICS).

As a Board we are playing a key role in advocating the voice of mental health across NCL and driving the wider system changes forward. We are influencing the Strategic commissioning review and the NCL corporate services review, as well as driving our own massive transformation agenda around community services development, CAMHS and our specialist forensic services.

As a major provider of services operating across some of London’s biggest and most diverse Boroughs, we recognise that everyone is different, and we are committed to ensuring that the diversity of our community is appropriately reflected throughout the Trust.  We are eager to find tenacious, inspiring, driven individuals with experience in any of the following areas who can operate at the highest levels:

  • Clinical expertise gained from a current medical discipline, ideally within community care
  • An understanding of the current agenda in the NHS; the integration of services and working in collaboration with others.
  • Strategic experience with a focus on transformation, change and partnership working from either the public, private or not for profit sector.

Candidates should be as passionate about improving services within the communities we serve as we are and understand the importance of ensuring inclusion and engagement lie at the heart of our decision making.
