Interim Senior Reward and Performance Manager – Large UK University – Predominantly remote

We are delighted to be working with a fantastic, large UK University on the urgent appointment of an interim Senior Reward and Performance Manager, to start immediately for c.3-4 months. The interim will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of BAU activities such as: job evaluation, the University’s reward schemes, compensation, benefits and report production (e.g. equal pay reports), and partnering with the Head of Reward to support the realisation of strategic reward projects e.g benefits and allowances. They will also act as working secretary of the Consistency Panel, Remuneration Committee and the Reward Working Group. The interim will also be responsible for managing two Senior Reward, Performance and Benefits Consultants and a Grading and Reward Consultant.

Should they wish to apply, any applicants for the interim post will also be welcome to apply for the permanent post, in which the successful appointee would be a key contributor to the realisation of the University’s Future Reward Plan 2022-25, whilst also being eligible for progression to a permanent Head of Reward role in the future.

Essential to the success of this interim role will be significant experience in a specialist senior reward role, gained within Higher Education, wider public sector, charity or not for profit sectors. Also essential will be experience of working within heavily unionised environments with the aforementioned sectors.
