Chief Operating Officer

You will be responsible for the delivery of all clinical services across the Trust, working with the Director of Nursing, Quality and AHPs to ensure that these meet the highest standards of quality. You will also be a key link to commissioners and partners working with the Director of Finance and Director of Strategic Partnerships. It is essential that you support the development of the highest standards of leadership and work closely with the Director of HR and OD to ensure the effective engagement of staff and the highest standards of people management. An inspirational leader with excellent communication skills, you will inspire confidence in others. We are looking for someone who has an excellent track record of delivering innovative change and managing operational services to deliver the highest quality care. You will have demonstrable experience of leading large teams and ensuring that the highest standards of people management, clinical quality and financial performance are delivered across operational services. You will also have and be able to demonstrate excellent engaging leadership and negotiating and influencing skills.

The Trust has historically had a very good record of financial performance and has had success in gaining and then delivering on new business, as well as recent and continuing success at a number of national and prestigious awards. We were particularly proud of achieving an Outstanding rating from the CQC in 2018, and of winning the Health Service Journal’s Trust of the Year award later the same year. However, we are clear that the level of challenge is continuing to increase and means that there is a need to look for more innovative approaches to care delivery through dynamic partnership working.
