Hybrid Working – Salary circa £90,000 plus benefits
Great Patient Care have worked in partnership with the NHS for nearly 20 years, and are now at an exciting stage in our development as a social enterprise, providing capacity to support the demand pressures within healthcare. We are looking to appoint an Executive Director of Service Delivery to provide effective clinical and operational leadership across our range of diagnostic and treatment services which we currently provide throughout the South West and South Wales. This role will be a key member of GP Care’s Board working alongside colleagues to drive forward our strategic intentions to ensure our future sustainability and growth.
Originally formed by a number of GPs and Practice staff, Great Patient Care was established in the belief that patients should receive both diagnostic and treatment services for a range of conditions where it suits them best – closer to home rather than in hospital. We have seen around 250,000 patients through clinics held mostly in GP practices. We currently provide services in urology, ultrasound, minor surgery and DVT, and have experience in other specialties such as audiology and gynaecology. We use our own staff such as nurses; sonographers and HCAs combined with clinicians who already work in the NHS to deliver our services.
Our philosophy has remained consistent from when first established and is even more relevant as we recover from the Covid pandemic – to be an integral partner of the NHS providing additional capacity to meet rising demand. We know that our models of care work, as our patients and Commissioners rate our services very highly.
Our Executive Director of Service Delivery will maximise our operational performance; further develop innovative service models and extend our reputation as a ‘can do’ organisation as part of our growth ambitions. We are looking for someone with gravitas and credibility who can provide empathetic clinical and operational leadership for the organisation, build resilience in our senior team and be proactive in the development of key stakeholder relationships.
It’s essential that you are a registered clinician (you could come from a nursing; AHP; medical or other clinical background) as you will provide the clinical leadership voice at Board level and be our CQC Registered Manager as well as our Safeguarding Lead. Whether you are an experienced Board Director or someone eager to make that step up; it will be your ability to further improve our service quality and build fruitful relationships that will be important.
We are an agile, flexible organisation and require someone with a similar leadership style; able to provide strategic insight and vision whilst being able to turn this vision into a reality. Above all, you will share our values in making a difference to the communities we serve.
